1. Who we are
CodeLive Studio ("we", "the service") operates the website at codelive-studio.pages.dev and any future domain that replaces it. For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].
2. Data stored on your device
The editor automatically saves your current project — its title, HTML, CSS and JavaScript — to your browser's local storage. This happens entirely on your device: the data never leaves your browser unless you press Save to create a share link. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, and closing the tab does not remove it.
3. Data stored on our servers (share links)
When you create a share link, we store the project's title and code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) together with a random identifier, so the link can be opened by anyone you send it to. We also keep a simple view counter for shared projects. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email address, and we do not attach personal identities to shared projects.
- Stored: project title, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, random share identifier, view count, timestamps
- Not stored: account credentials, email addresses, payment details, browsing profiles
- Removal: shared projects may be deleted over time to free capacity; contact us to request removal of a specific link
4. Advertising
At present the service shows no advertising. In the future we may display ads to keep the tool free — most likely through Google AdSense. If and when that happens, this policy will be updated before any ads appear, and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure and personalize ads as described by their own policies. You will always be able to control ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings.
5. Third-party services
The site loads Google Fonts from Google's servers for typography; your browser therefore communicates with Google when pages are loaded. The editor itself, the preview renderer and your code all run locally. We do not embed third-party analytics or tracking scripts. User code that you write may of course load its own external resources inside the preview — that traffic happens at your direction, from your browser, and is not initiated by us.
6. Cookies
The service does not set tracking cookies. The only client-side storage used is your browser's local storage for auto-saving projects (see section 2). Any future cookie used for advertising or preferences will be disclosed here before it is used.
7. Children's privacy
The service is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no registration or personal data is required to use the editor, children can use it without providing anything that identifies them.
8. Data security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Shared projects are stored in a managed Cloudflare database with access restricted to the service itself. No system is perfectly secure, but the architecture limits exposure by design: the most sensitive data — your unsaved code — never leaves your device at all.
9. Your rights
Because we collect no personal data, there is normally nothing to export or delete about you as an individual. For shared projects, you may request deletion of any link at [email protected] — include the link itself so we can find it. If privacy laws in your country grant you additional rights, contact us and we will honour them to the extent applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
If the service adds features that change how data is handled — for example optional accounts or advertising — this policy will be updated and the change date at the top of this page will be revised before the new behaviour goes live.
